Default No Start Suggestions Anyone?

Here's the story. Picked up an S2 PCA Stock race car a few weeks ago. Ran fine, no problems starting. Stock class so nothing exotic about the engine. For the last week I have not been able to get it to fire.

Still no start after I have done the following (many times for most).

-Pulled plugs and dried w/compressed air
-Dried cylinders w/compressed air
-Checked kill switch, cleaned contacts w/brake cleaner
-Swapped coils
-Swapped DME’s
-Checked for spark - OK from #3 cylinder
-Pulled distributor cap to inspect
-Turned over w/o fuel injectors
-Turned over with battery charger connected
-Turned over with jumper cables connected
-Put a light bulb in the engine compartment to try to warm

It seems to flood out very quickly as I can smell fuel after attempting to start. It has been in the mid teen's and low 20's here lately.

Occasionally get a blurb to try to start but only once and for a very short time. Once that happens, I don’t get it again unless I reclean/dry everything.

Anything you can think of? Could the battery be the culprit if it is turning over okay on the charger or jumper cables?

Thanks.

Jeff

You might want to check your FPR(with a gauge), O2 sensor going out, or your injectors are leaking down at shut off.

What is the voltage at the battery? The cold will kill old batteries, it should atleast start with jumper cables attached however.

Wiggle the reference sensor connector between the intake manifold and the fire wall.

Check your fuel pressure at the rail if possible. Could be leaking injectors.. but i think the car would start eventually if that was the case.

Sounds 100% like mine...
Mine had the tensioner fail on me.
but for me it was not so bad.. no bent valves
check for compression! How does it crank? does it somehow seem to crank easier? and faster?
if you have fuel..if you have spark..all your missing is compression

Pulled the charger and got a 13.36 V reading for the battery.

I'll look into the FP.

Doubt it's the tensioner b/c all of that stuff was done about 4 races ago by the previous owner and race shop owner.
