No. VA timing belt party (NEW LOCATION: AT DUDLEY'S. call for directions)
As mentioned in another thread, I will be hosting a 944 timing belt changing party! As things stand, I have a garage, non-timing belt specific tools and beer. Any 944 owner who wants to change their belts are free to come on over, and the rest of you are welcome to point and laugh. If anyone has tensioner/belt wrenches/flywheel locks, we'll love you even more and give you an extra ration of sudsy goodness.
So, we'll be doing this at my place on Sunday, January 21st at 11 am.

I'll be coming back from PA Saturday night or Sunday morning so check this thread before you leave in case my car breaks down or I get hit by a bus or something and we're stuck. Hey, it can happen!
BB.

I just recently got mine finished, and im going to try to get it through emissions tommorow. I have the tools and would be happy to help you out with them if im not too busy on sunday, Id also like to pull my covers and what not back off to find out what the belt is slapping so if there is a group of people it would be a lil easier to figure out im sure. Let me know

There's a slight chance I can make it... I'm down at ODU in Norfolk now (yeah, super-senior... the 5th year is my parade lap!), but I might be up in town to snag a "new" daily driver in Mansassas Park. I'll store the number in case I can make it.

I have all the tools, which you guys are welcome to borrow, but I might not be able to stick around as I am in the middle of some projects with my car that require as much time as I can spend. If you don't get the tools from anyone else, shoot me a PM. Have any of the guys going ever done it before? Brian, I remember you were at IMA when Chris Prack showed us way back when (weren't you?) but if you haven't done it a few times it helps to have some guidance. Arnnworx has a great write up on how to use his tool (I have his tensioner as well as the Kriket - I find it can be just as good to tension by feel - its not the mysterious black art its made out to be), but its always good to have some help.
If no one there has done it I'll see if I can stay for a few hours. Regardless, again you guys are welcome to my tools.

Thanks for the offer!
I was at IMA that time and helped out with another belt about two years ago. So while I have some experience I wouldn't go so far as to say that I've done the job before. Of course, it's better than going in cold!

It sounds like you guys have a pretty tight group there in NOVA. I am moving to the area this summer and looking at getting into a S2 or 968, possibly a 951. Look forward to meeting you all.

I have the wrenches and flywheel lock. If I make it up there, I'll be sure to bring them along in case I can make it over.
Paul, are you an IMA customer? I worked there for a couple years and can't remember if I saw your car there or not.
