I put this open-differential front-driver with bald tires off to the side facing uphill a few years back and got it out by simply putting it in second, letting the wheels spin and shifting my body weight on the front bumper to get traction. Probably've done that about 10 times now...probably should knock off the rally driver aspirations. Was coming down the hill and spun 200 or so.
