Years ago whilst in grad. school I had to get home from Chicago to Boston - decided to go the Canadian side of the border via Windsor, etc. . .
Upon reaching the U.S. border crossing point in northern NY state, the guard at the checkpoint proceeded to interrogate me with the usual questions in typically humorless manner. Finally he asks, "how long have you been in Canada". I looked at my watch and said "about 10 hours". He said "what's your reason?" I said "going from Chicago to Boston - beats having to drive through Ohio". He actually laughed at that one and handed me my license back, saying "can't argue with you there. . ."

I took xsboost90's advice and completely cut the rubber part off, the metal underneath was a barbed fitting.
From pepboys I got a replacement fuel injection hose muscled it over the barbed ends as it was a little tighter than the old one, double clamped it and viola!
Worked like a charm. I am thinking of just re-ebaying that OEM fuel line instead of spending another $179 to get the other half to match.
In the spring, I plan on pulling out both fuel lines, and refitting new rubber bits, especially by the tank and pump.
Just in time for FEST!
Unfortunately I didn't get to drive the 924S to OH, the GF and I took her Yaris.
I still haven't put it my radio, two nights ago I pulled two nails out of one of my rear tires when I was measuring for the rear flares.
I was able to fix-a-flat it, but I still need an alignment, and I gotta pick up the winter wheels I got (old cookies) and put new snow rubbers on them.
Not to mention I am waiting for my belt tools so I can retension my belts, since 1500 miles is here! The 924S is on DD duty right now (short trips).

nice! glad to hear it! I put the ski rack on mine and drove it to the slopes today! I had my iceburg incident about a week ago... noticed today the grille was askew... knew about the taco'd air dam when the 'burg incident happened. luckily, it's on the side that doesn't have anything important behind it...
