This post is to timley. I bought an S2 Cab today. Had a PPI done and I test drove the car...everything sounded great. The dealership did recommend changing the gear oil. I drove home 200+ miles even in bumper to bumper traffic, I did not notice anything until I pulled into my development and was decelerating in 1st...I heard the same type of noise. Freaked me out so I did a search and found this post. I'll change the gear oil and see if that solves it.

Do a search for 5th gear idler. It seems to be a common "issue" with our cars.
