996 GT3RS is the same way.

 

...drool... That is an awe inspring car.

 

IF you guys are interested in hearing what the Carrera GTR sounds like, a guy from Singapore posted a few cell phone movies of one running in a garage (someones car collection). Its hard to make out much because the cell phone quality..but it does sound rather beastly.

it sounds like its idling at like 2K rpm

why the F does it have a side exhaust? cant be factory.

The factory did side exhausts on the GTRs GTPs (924) and also on the 944 GTR.

 

oh.

 

And 924 DP's (933) had also side exaust.
