Default Need manual sunroof latches

My sunroof is leaking and I don't even know how to remove it to fix it. The electric motor does not open up the sunroof and I don't feel like fixing it. I've decided to convert it to manual which looks easy. The thing is I can't get the damn roof to come out. I raised it manuallu bu turning the motor in the hatch and the arms raise up but then I can't turn it any longer and the roof won't come out.

is there any way to remove the sunroof whithout fixing the electric roof? I need to replace the seal and convert the rear latches to manual. Right now I have a swimming pool in the rear everyday it really sucks, I probably have mold in there and all my windows fog up in the morning

so if anyone has the rear conversion latches , I think there should be 4 pieces, two that go on the body and two that go on the roof itself.

Yes you can remove the sunroof for manual conversion even if it doesn't work right. When you get your manual latches you need to remove the header panel behind the sunroof and disable the lifting arms by taking the guide boxes apart. This will allow you to disengage the arms so the SR can be removed for the conversion.

I need this asap because I'm getting a pool of water in the car everyday.

Try Partsheaven in California. I got all my used parts from there if Todd (tod84944) didn't have it available.

does parts heaven usually ship the parts pretty fast?\

also for manual conversion do I just need the latches on the sunroof or do I also need the trim part on the roof itself.

I have a set that I hadn't planned on selling. If you are desperate, drop me a pm and we'll see if we can work something out.

Regards,

also anyone know which of the sunroof seals usually need replacement?.

both of my sunroof seals look like they have been cut, the one on the roof itself is cut and looks very thin.

the seal on the actuall sunroof feels like cloth and looks like it is glued around the sunroof and it is also cut and glued together where it is cut.

is this normal? my 924 sunroof was totally different it did not have a seal on the sunroof itself but had a thicker seal on the roof.

I'm not sure which seal i need to order.
