It seems like my steering system has a little delay in its response. On the highway, when I turn the wheel slightly (like 1 degree), the car seems like it waits a little bit before starting to move in that direction. Then the car seems to overshoot and I have to turn the wheel back a little to compensate for overshooting.
The steering seems real tight with almost not play in it and I have the new track ball joints.
Driving on long trips can be somewhat fatiguing since I have to constantly adjusting the steering wheel to adjust for over shooting.
Any ideals as to what can be causing this? Alignment?
Are there any adjustments on the steering rack to remove any slop?

i would jack the front end up and try turning the wheel by grabbing the tire on each side and moving it back and fourth. Sounds like you have either a tie rod end bad, or your steering shaft is worn out.

It could be the rack itself, but then it would feel loose when you turn.
Other things to look at:
Joints on the intermediate shaft.
Rack bushings.
Tie rod ends.
If you just had the balljoints done take a look at the bushings on the control arm, and make sure the bolts at the back are tight. If one or both sides are loose that could cause the arm to shift, change your alignment, and change the direction of the car.
