it's hard to start the turbos in 3rd... they barely like to get moving in first without giving em at least 500 RPM more than the NA (either that, or I'm still getting used to the turbo after 1k miles...)

I learned on the 944, and did quite well too!

I agree with this, the turbo's seem to be a little picky when starting out, but if you can match the clutch and the gas just right, they can go pretty nice from a stop. (w/o dropping the clutch and treating the car like crap...)

Is there any way of telling if your clutch is on the way out, like does the starting in 2nd gear test work?

Well I shifted properly while taking that sign out. I think the sign got Rocked more than I did. Buhahahahaha.
