Travis,

I just picked up an 83 944 parts car that has a great running engine. Don't have any service history or anything so I am planning on selling it pretty cheap.

PM or email if you think your friend might be interested.

I have a 88 (higher compression) complete. It only has 58K miles on it. I will also put new belts on it. Let me know if you are interested.

How much are you asking for your 88 motor?

Have the engine from an 84 N/A, 160,000km, oil pressure was fine when it was running, is missing some timing belt covers (the front covers), but the engine itself is complete. I could probably throw in a couple of engine-related extras I have kicking around (maybe a starter and such?), includes alternator as well.
Needs timing belts (As all used engines do) and has some small oil leaks
Looking to get rid of it, so I am pretty reasonable on price. If you are interested this would at least keep the sale within Canada, might save you some money that way?

The motor I have is missing the head. If you want the bottom and the top let me know.

Wait, you said local....
In my PM I mentioned shipping, it sounds like you are within a reasonable delivery area.
I can rent a u-haul trailer for a day and bring the motor to you if you are in the south half of BC.
I would probably do it even for northern washington

If you are near Vernon fell free to come by and take a look at it, and you can dig through my box of parts and take any extras you want to
