Default SoCal GTG? Dec. 15th

All right, I'm just going to throw this one out there to see if anyone is interested. It's a bit last minute, but from what I understand, we were going to make this a sorta monthly event, but it seemed like it never kicked off.

Basically, is anyone interested in getting together for an evening of beer and good times? I'm looking at the 15th or maybe the 16th (I intially wanted to get the Saturday, but I got my dates mixed up and ended up putting the Friday, 15th). Porsche-O-Phile recommended Belmont Brewery in Long Beach, which is where we last had something the last time I attended and it seemed like a nice venue.

Anyways, nothing's in written in stone right now, but the sooner we get something hashed out, the better. Post your ideas here or on Pelican.

Pelican thread (not too much said that hasn't been said here):

EDIT: Hey all, we'll keep it on Dec 15th at 7PM. The venue will be Belmont Brewery in Long Beach. See the accompanying map for details on where to park.

I'm up in SLO taking my last final on the 15th. The 16th I'm on a plane to NY and DC. If you guys decide on something between the 23rd and the 8th, I'm down to hang out, but Long beach is pretty far.

I'd be down for something. I should be in LA on the 15th or so.

I'm not into beer (.. also not 21), so any chance we could meet up and do something different?

added date, time, location to the original post. PM me if you want my phone number just in case.

PCA, I wasn't 21 the last time we went. These GTGs can be fun without drinking, so I guess it's your choice. Naturally, they've got some good burgers and other things to eat so you can come hungry and at least get something to eat.

I'll be in Phoenix, I'm good for the next one though.

LB is far Eyal? C'mon!

Sounds good then.

I'm assuming I'll be the only one in a 924.

30 miles on the 405 is equal to a trip from phoenix to socal.

BTW, if you guys are going to be in LB, you should try to drop by and say 'hi' to Legoland951 before heading to the GTG. I'm sure he's busy with his newborn son -- but he is amazing when it comes to 944's. His house is the one with six 944 parked out front and another dozen in the yard -- can't miss it.

Yea, I've been meaning to call him but I'm always afraid I'm going to catch him at a bad time or wake him up or something - regardless of the hour. Plus I feel kinda' weird just showing up to talk shop - don't want to have that whole 944-obsession-sore-spot turn into a conflagration between him and his possibly post-partum wife due to my actions.

I can let sleeping dogs lie for now, but hey Frank if you wanna' call me whenever's good for you and isn't gonna' get you into trouble, go for it.

No, we'll all be in 924s!

I'm in too - I'll be driving up to Frisco on the 18th after a busy weekend, so this is perfect timing. Hey PCA 944, I'm still interested in looking at the 924 if you have time.
