That interior is very impressive. I absolutely love the dashboard. Where did you get the pedals?

Rob Budd at 928 Leather did the dash and the pedals came from Rennline. Glad you like 'em :-)

I know this is kind of an old thread but how did you get the silver finish on the HVAC, cig. lighter and the glove box *****. By the way, incredible job on the interior.

The **** covers came from a supplier in the UK, Prestige Parts. Click Here for another thread with some bigger/better pictures of the interior.

Welcome to Rennlist!

Man I love ur steering wheel ! Looks like a totaly new car with that interior The 85+ interior is so mutch easyer to make look brand new. Im gonna try and fiberglass and make my own "new" look dash in my 83.
Still would you think the wheel will fit 83's ?

I'd be surprised if the steering shaft changed between the early and late dash models but I don't know for sure.

Here's the best picture I could find of the shaft, I'd suggest pulling your wheel off (easy on a non-aribag car) and taking a look to see if yours looks the same.

Thanks Johan, so do you!

BTW, did you see my new 917 style shift **** write up on the 951 board? Something similar might go well with your wood trim...

thanks Greg,

the leather airbag was originally grey. got it from L.A. Porsche for 500. the cf wheel was 100 on craigslist because it had a tiny crack in it, and the owner wanted a new one from Europe for his 996 turbo s... i changed it from grey to black with SEM satin black. it came out perfect. you would never guess in a million years that either my dash, doors trim or airbag were once grey.

SEM products are amazing.

the Sparco Demon seats were the last set purchased on closeout directly from the factory store marked down from $4,000 to $1,750... they are a specialty seat made from the milano prestige models using a softer thicker leather. they've stopped making them. mine are black on charcoal.

i'm finally going to be swapping out the shift **** for a 997 turbo ****... just waiting to modify the shift linkage slightly. and i got Raj doing a front engine tear down in 2 weeks. really looking forward to having that done.
