Diagnose it first, I'm pretty sure you'll find that it is bad tho. A new one for an NA is roughly 70 bucks IIRC.
An Audi 5000 Turbo uses the same TPS. I'm sure a few others as well.

Interesting suggestion on checking the O2 mixture above 1100RPM with closed throttle....
Really round-a-bout way of checking it but I would never have throught of that.

Yeah, I already had narrow band monitors on the daily and 954. It was definately noticable when the TPS was screwing up. I first noticed that it didn't have as much compression braking capacity(which really sucks on a turbo car with NA brakes, lol). A quick look to the O2 monitor showed it was still dithering on decel. It should have been off the scale on the lean side.

Not to hi-jack things but I'd like to ask for more detail from Andy on "for cars with O2 monitors or if you'd like to hook a multi meter to the O2, revving it and watching the monitor. when the RPMs are above 1100 for late cars and 800 for early and it is in the idle position it should fall off the lean side or all the way off the map. If the meter is showing dithering on decel above 1100, it is not seeing the idle position. ". Can you do this for the single wire O2 sensor? If so, do you read between the connector and ground? (and must it still be connected to the DME?). What should the voltage readings be?
