I am about to send off to a rebuilder my speedometer and quartz clock for my 1984 944 and I wanted to see what experiences people have had. I have received quotes that span the spectrum from:

- NHS Speedometer
- Speedometer Plus (West L.A Automotive Center, Inc)
- SOUTHERN ELECTRONICS Inc.

plus I have a few other inquiries in. Any experience with the above or suggestions for ones not mentioned?

I have used Palo Alto Speedo (415-323-0243) numerous times with no problems.

had a great experience with NH speedometer....expensive (about the same as palo alto) ..but great work and great people!

I recomend Palo Alto speedo but there is one called north hollywood speedo that is pretty good too.

You know, here is the bizarre part -- I've gotten quotes all the way from $89.95 to $195.00, basically the same promised service. I'll keep gathering info.
