I have those same fine scratches everywhere also. One detailer told me is was under the clearcoat and cracking of the basecoat and someone else told me that was unlikely if it is the original paint (which I have).

Hey;
Basecoat will generally not crack because it lacks the material makeup to do so. It does not have the clear in it. It is merely a particulate color coat, with only enough binder to lock the color down evenly. The clearcoat provides the "impervious" hard shell to protect it. If it's cracked, it's either single stage, or it's the clear.

ive seen alot of metallic cars repainted in which after its cured completely the metallic settles into fine sanding scratches under the paint and cause "crack" lines under the clear.
