Remember Juan, that's Canadian dollars... IIRC the exchange rate is like $700 Canadian = 1 tank of gas in the USA

right!

i totally forgot about that part.

but still, 700CAD comes out to about 620USD.

which is still a lot. i could probably get R-compounds for that much.....

i had proxes 4 on an eclipse once, handled good for the......2 days that i had it.

I don't need super high performance tires , just good all season tires. The cheapest tires I found were kumhos (not on the net). I didn't cheap out, there were some cheaper tires like the BF goodrich radials I have on the rear.

I'm too scared to drive down to get the toyo put on, there is a lot of snow on the road here and I'm scared that I'll wreck the car or get stuck somewhere....

I have kumhos with no thread in the front and BF radials in the back. Do you guys think I can still drive in the snow if I'm carefull? I've never driven a rear wheel drive car in the snow.

It's a piece of cake!

From yesterday (in the 993).

Taken 20 min. ago when I drove down to the ferry dock to rescue my neighbor, who had ridding his motorcycle to work today.

Oh.. my.. it's the man and he's driving slower than me!

Of course you could call a buddy with a 4x4, get the tires done and not risk unexpected bodywork!

we usually don't get much snow here so when it snows they don't even clean the streets in many places so it's pretty dangerous. I already put a big *** dent in my rear fender from backing out the other day now a second bigger dent in the front will really **** me off.

I think I got jinxed the other day, before I the guy who came to look at my tire size said, wow that 944 is in really nice condition now when I go back he'll see the big *** dent I put in it.

Ah crap.. that sucks.. sorry to hear about the dent.. I'm hunkered down myself today. Some people here started thier commuted 14 hours ago and they didn't make it home. I'm glad I don't live on the east side of the sound... over here it's buinsess as usuall.. just.. icy.

27F right now. Looks great outside but I know that it's all black ice.

Check the Tirerack ultra high perf all-season survey. I bought the #2 rated Avon Tech M550s. They are great, quiet, and cheap (relatively)!
