What kind of plastic is the front valance of a 944 turbo made of? ABS plastic? What is the best thing to use to repair it with?

Buy a new front nose piece.

Sorry...you knew it'd be said. A little off topic, but on my FZR1000 racing bike some kid knocked it off the side stand, and it cracked the rubbery plastic side panel. I had it plastic welded, and primered with a flexible primer. You couldn't tell it from new after I resprayed it.

I also dropped my sunroof on my 83 944, and fixed the corner with Corvette body adhesive. Damn strong stuff too.

Mine was repaired with -bondo- by the PO. Came off in chunks. I used brick edging to make it somewhat tolerable.

I roughed up the back side of a crack, smeared 5 minute epoxy, imbeded a piece of bondo expanded mesh metal screen in the epoxy and held averything in line until it set. Don't know how long it's going to last, and this doesn't address the outside surface, but it seems to be holding for now.
