Not well at all - The Z3s already look incredibly dated, and they're not that old.

PS...

The BMW Z4 coupe looks hideous...nothing like a 944.

Yep. Take a closer look at the rear end/taillights- it's the rounded 968 style. Quite the improvement over the 944, IMHO.

Honsetly, the Z4 coupe does look a little better in person..........

..... but I still throw up a little in my mouth when I see it "live."

Bangle can learn a lot from kindergarden art.

btw, what's a good price for a set of 968 mirrors and door handles in a package deal (both handles and mirrors at once)?

Bimmers are more solid and strong than mercedes

Define solid and strong...

Close the door on a Bimmer, and you hear a tinny click. Close the doors on a Benz, and you hear a solid THUNK.

BMW is known for being a sport-luxo car, while Mercedes is know for a solid-luxo car.

thats what I meant, they are not as sturdey and have less contact points as the porsche and mbz... I've had 2 porsche and 3 mbz, don't want a bmw although some look cool for a second or 2.

The only good thing I can say about some of the Bangle-ized" BMW's is that they look different and are very identifiable.

However, to stand the test of time, a car must look "better" not "different".

The Z4 looks great in person, at least to my eyes. I especially like the M model...

My wife and I test drove one two weekends ago. Very nice car to drive, very nicely built. Much roomier inside than I expected it to be, really nice-sized trunk too. Anyone who thinks their quality is not up to snuff should drive one....felt like it was carved out of one piece of metal.

Much better deal than a Cayman, too. Sorry but true. Porsche has totally abandoned the $40K sports coupe range, which is really sad. A similiarly equipped Cayman is at least $10k more the Z4 we drove.

I liked the Z3 M Coupe more than this one, but do like this one too. Short wheelbase plus hp equals fun. Most rigid BMW (z3, z4 coupes).

I looked at one versus a Boxster, and I have to say that the boxster beat out the Z4 by a long shot in my eyes. I felt like the Z4's roof was really low and imposing, and the cargo space was pitiful. The Boxster had a MUCH larger amount of storage/cargo space to work with, and there seemed to be much more space inside with the top up, too.
