Default Headlights won't go down

I have problem with my headlights not going down. I installed a new relay at the motor and cleaned the 4 pins on the electrical connector. I have also checked to make sure nothing is interferring with the movement. When I turn them on they go up fine. They just won't go down. Any thoughts?

The electrical cam inside the motor is worn or bad. It has a series of wipers and tracks that they ride on to transfer power for the different positions. You may be able to pull the cover and clean or retension the wipers to fix it. Good luck

Rock, he said it won't go DOWN. Maybe he already tried viagra to make them go up, and now they're stuck that way.

Just be glad they aren't stuck in the down position. At least now you can use your lights. Keep them on while driving so you don't look dumb. But seriously, I think Andy's right. Try this. Turn off the lights, then turn the manual **** a little and see if the motor takes over and retracts the lights the rest of the way.

I had the same problem on my car. I got tired of manually winding them down pretty fast. There is a fuse for headlights up and another for headlights down (that makes no sense to me).

I had a similar problem (not the same, though). It ended being a bad headlight motor assy. I got a replacement one for $25 off eBay and I was back in business. Just my $0.02...

the LATE 944 has a separate fuse for headlight up/down. I never saw that on my early 944 or my mom's.
