Default Wood-to-Metal Pedal Update

Hi all,
At the beginning of summer I posted some pics of a new steering wheel which really only brought about comments for my gas pedal. Well, I have a new pedal from rennlist sponsors www.928motorsports.com. It was originally for a 928, but it fits just great. Took about 30 min to install. So I'd thought I'd post some pics. I do want to say however, that the craftsmenship on the original pedal was awesome as well.

The End

Thanks to Carl and his crew for the great customer service!

I bet the original has a lower COF.... for those really quick heel-toe shifts!

I need to install my fancy pedals, just have not gotten around to it yet.

COF? Not sure.

I only really do heel toe at the track, when hard on the brakes..when the pedal is way low. I did drive the car tonight albeit with boots and did some "Mock" heel toe..seemed great. Schwank..did you get my pm earlier this week?

coefficient of friction...

I did indeed get your note about rfactor... I have been working 10-12 hour days lately, including the last 17 straight, trying to get a project done at work. I'm the lead developer on a very expensive piece of custom software, so when it's crunch time I have to be there.

Deadline is tuesday though... can't wait to run a few laps around Bathurst using the PCC mod. Will def get in touch once my life gets back to normal.

What was wrong with the plywood? Besides the looks... you coulda just painted it black.

But Carl at 928m is cool and the service rocks. Nice petal! Any plans for modifying the other petals?

That's #2 Pine Sir....Plywood has no place on a Porsche Just kidding. Just something different. At this time I have no plans for the other pedals. For the most part I am a function guy.

Those guys are great aren't they.

#2 pine, lol! Of course, the plywood was a 924 part, superceded with pine in the 944. My 968 has varnished MDF (heavy wood to match the heavy clutch).

The important thing (for non-928-owners) is they are competant and have a machine shop, and love porsches. If you want something from them, I'm sure if it's makeable they'd make it.

All the stuff I've ordered from them are 928 specific items, and everything on my wish list too. But they do have 944 stuff. But hey, just make it simple - get a 928, then you can buy all their stuff. That's what I want to do.
