Default Transmission Removal Help Please

First off yes I have searched. Second thank you in advance for your help. I have a 1987 924S with a leaky fuel tank. So in the process of removing the transmission i can not detach the transmission input shaft from the coupler. I have removed both bolts, but the transmission can not move back far enough to back out of the coupler. Any suggests or tips would be greatly appreciated. The coupler is still extremely stiff any suggestions to even move it back or forth more? Thanks again!

The coupler slides on the shaft. You slide the coupler back to separate the input shaft of the transmission from the torque tube, then drop the transmission. The thing is, you can't slide the coupler with the transmission loose from the torque tube. It will bind up.
