There have been a few inquiries but I do remember how long it took Arash to sell that 944. I dont expect to get too many inquries for a couple reasons such as its winter now, this is not a $4000 944 that any kid can buy, and I dont expect that there are too many auto enthusiasts out there that would understand the value of the 2.8L Stroker built by a company that use to be the AMG of Porsche.

This is one of the main reasons I am actually interested- I'm just really not in the market for another car, but the low miles & that 2.8L stroker, ALREADY BUILT, are seriously tempting at that price.

There can't be THAT many- most of the strokers I've heard of, & there aren't a ton of them anyway, are by Powerhaus, Windward, Huntley, Garrity, & then the big guys, like Milledge & Gomes, etc... Except that Milledge & Gomes normally bore & sleeve too, so not sure any of those would really count....?

I had mentioned to Roger that the price on that motor was pretty cheap, compared to today & then he said it was really ~$10k total, which was a good bit 15yrs ago, but really, they almost always top $20k today- of course, part of that is that today, w/the extra 15yrs of age, they've accumulated many other things that need to be done "while you're in there." I wonder if there's a thread somewhere that asks how many total stroked &/or bored turbo engines there are in our world...? Would be kind of cool... could ask who built them, how they've held up, any special techniques or mods (that the owner is aware of, since some of these guys are very protective of their secrets, & rightly so...), etc. I mean, really, w/what all goes into building one of these motors, this car is a pretty damn good deal, assuming it is in really good condition & the motor wont have to come apart anytime soon (& I have no reason to believe otherwise)... In this case, you basically get an engine for about what you'd pay to get it done for CHEAP, & then get the car for FREE!!! Damn, I need to see if I can swing a loan Monday or not... I'd want a little more, to go w/a larger turbo & LSD of some sort(?), but still... Could have a BAD-*** for $15k- Not that it's not already pretty damn BAD!!!

I don't know Ashkan, if body parts sell by the pound, you could probably afford the 951. J/k! You don't want that car - it's rear-wheel drive and has a low center of gravity, so you wouldn't like it

Roger, of all the 951s I've seen in person (admittedly not that many) your's is the most intriguing and capable. And I believe it is also among the coolest and rarest I've seen online as well. Have faith that there are plenty of people that would definitely want that car for the price asked, but because of the reasons you said, it might take a while for one of them to find your car. Just keep advertising it, and enjoy it every day until someone comes to buy it. I guess the turbo swap project for the winter is off. That's OK - that means I can use the time fixing my mom's 944's wheel bearing problem. Or I can buy a second car (now that I only have one) and play with that. Or *gasp* I can just not work on cars and relax...

You're going to make the 2.7 into a track car? Why? It doesn't have that much power. You need to put a S2 engine in it. Let me know when you're ready to sell the 2.7 engine.

If it didn't require selling my cars to buy this I'd so get it.

If you want stuff to work on over the winter, my todo list is quite long...

That's perfect to learn with. Only now I'll have to spot him something like a minute...

That's what I told Roger. With as many people that are wanting to build a stroker, this is a no brainer. Why go thru all the hassle and cost when you can write a check for it and be driving it immediately? It's a great deal for someone out there...

Does the "Andial951" user name come with the deal?

Thats a good question. I have never heard of another but there must be a few out there. Also someone could have bought the Andial Stroker kit and had it installed somewhere else but how many were actually installed by Andial?

Andial stopped working on the 944 a long time ago and now they dont even do service work anymore from what I heard.

I have a really cool article that was left in the car by the PO. It was written by an auto mag and it featured a 951 built by ANDIAL using the stoker motor. It went on to say how this 951 was destroying Ferraris. I can only assume that the PO saw this article and based on that took his car to ANDIAL and said "give me the same thing".
