Default Inhereted a 944

Hi Guys,
I've been thinking about a 944 I enhereted a few months ago from a family member who passed. It has about 6000 miles on it (original) And is pretty close to perfect. It's an automatic 1984. Before I brought it home I sent it to the dealer for a major service. Timing belt, tensioner, fluid change new tires, and a few air conditioning hoses +recharge. Dealer was very impressed with the car. I was going to drive it this summer and never really had the time. Drove my boxster instead. Could someone put a price on it.....
Thanks Mike.

Tough one. Autos are not very desireable but with only 6k miles someone might want to pick it up for concours. $6-7k to the right buyer but you might have a tough time finding them.

yeah, I cannot see that being desirable except for concours.

I may know an interested party if you want to sell it, but please do two things first;

1) Join Rennlist if you want to sell it on these boards.
2) Post pictures please.

If it really just has 6000 miles on it and not 60,000 and is in perfect shape and all original, like a museum piece, then it has to be worth way more than $7000. I would think somewhere around $16k-$20k. I mean really. How many 6000 mile cars are left? The price goes up if it has rare colors or options.

If it's been sitting that much there could still be a lot of issues, like bad rubber. These cars need to be driven.

6,000 eh. Is that even over the factory break in period yet? I mean who would buy a brand new porsche and drive it 6000 miles? For the price issue i would consider it in the same realm of a 60,000 car and since its an auto... I would just keep it, i mean 6,000 thats awesome.

Hi guys
I'm probably going to find a way to use it next summer. I was not looking in an obscure way to try to sell it . I just wanted to share it with you guys. I will post some pictures this weekend. The car is not quite concours it has a slight curb scrape under the front bumper that you can only see if you are under the car, The mileage is correct at 6454. The car was bought by a close family member in 1984 on an impulse purchase. It's guards red , no sun roof, phone dials,auto, I don't think it's special , just a nice car. 6 or 7 grand seems not right to me. Not that I think its a piece of gold, But tell me what car can you buy in this shape with this mileage for 6 or 7 grand .
Mike.
