a friend of mine made a gaming seat out of an SC seat. it's awesome!

Mark Anderson had a 928 seat done like that at 928 International. Last time I saw it was about 15 years ago.

i made one of those years ago. it sits in my room as we speak. all you need is the bottom to an office chair, a piece of plywood (painted black and cut to fit the bottom of the seat), and four bolts and washers to bolt the board to the seat. attatch the plywood to the bottom of the office chair, and voila! instant porsche desk seat. on certain office chairs you can still retain the height adjustment.

I'm gonna do that as soon as I order the replacement Sparcos... could be a year away, though.

the only thing stoping me is that couldn't find a chair that had a good quality base for cheap. any sudgestions?
