I've been wondering the same thing. And would there be any way to have a chip with a power setting, and an economy setting that would work with 87 or 89 octane?

I've been waiting for 9 months on a dyno of the NA chips so that I can finish them up and release them. I'm going to find another tester pronto, any volunteers with dyno access?

With the Maxtronic you can have up to 7 useable maps. You have a no-start and valet maps by default, and you can also load a performance map, and stock map for lower octane areas, or even a slightly less aggressive map for better performance on lower octane. When you purchase the Maxtronic with a chip image, variations of that image like the valet map and low octane or race maps come at no additional charge.

I am really sorry you guys have had to wait so long for this.

Regards,
Russell

Russell, can you explain the "no start" and "valet" maps? And are they incorporated into your turbo chips?

Russell if you need the chips dynoed before and after I have an early 85 NA that is just sitting here....
It runs and I have a dyno about 6 miles from my house... I think they charge $65 for three pulls after everything is strapped down...
Let me know...
P.S. everything on this car is stock with a new timing belt, plugs, cap, rotor, and such....
Never broke in since the work done....
Mileage unknown but assumed to be 130K

The no-start and valet maps can be incorporated with any car using the Maxtronic. The no start map is just that, the car will not start, the valet map is just a copy of which ever performance map you are running, with very minimal timing and a 3000 rpm rev limiter. If you have the Maxtronic and Maxtune, you can make your own valet map. But I don't charge for the valet maps.

Russell

Hey JC,

actually I need a 1985.5 or later with a socketed chip, we never finished the adapter development, still waiting for a quote on the manufacture of the adapter board.

Thanks for the offer!

Russell

I have an 86 NA, and there is a dyno about 20 miles from where i live. I will check the rates and i might be interested in being a tester.

Ok, 3 pulls are $70. I don't want to sound selfish, or like an ***, but if i did this, would i get any sort of compensation?

As Neo says, you get a free chip (or two) out of the deal. Meaning I send you the current revision, you do the pulls, I make adjustments according to the dyno readout and send you the final revision. So you get a 199.00 chip for 70 bucks plus the extra work of changing the chip twice and going to the dyno.

Russell

The 944S was the first NA chip I produced, it has been in production about a year now.
