Default Water in passenger side trunk

I am getting an accumulation of water in the passenger side hole in the trunk. I cleaned the drains on the wing...where else could water be getting in from (gas cap?) Also, should there be some sort of hole to drain water accumulation that stays there?

Thanks

It's ironic that you posted this tonight as I just found the same thing this afternoon on both driver and passenger side. Earlier, I'd noticed my hatch key seal was missing and some water was getting in through there. Also, when I replaced my hatch seal, I saw a huge difference in coverage sonce the old one was "shriveled." I think both of those things allowed water to get in as I pulled the carpet away from the back of the trunk area and saw a small amt. there. It was just by chance that I noticed the "pools" tonight.

After some digging around for awhile, I found a drain hole on each side. They were stuffed with some kind of rubbery stuff (almost like what people use in dorm rooms to hang posters). When I removed it, I saw the small hole on each side and pushed the debris away a little and eventually all the water went away.

The car has no sunroof...
I don't think it's the rubber of the hatch. Is there anyway it can get in from the gas tank?

I saw clear tubes running down the sides of those compartments and then underneath? But not attached to the small holes in there.

Empty it, go get a hose and start spraying. Check the tailight housing gasket area too...a classic leaker.
