Have any of you had these cars in Northern VA for much more than 7yrs or so? I bought mine in Norfolk 10/13/99- just curious...

 

we moved here in 98', back then ours was in the proccess of being repainted. We finally finished it and fixed it up in like 01'-02', then it broke again, fixed it, then it broke again, and now its running and is my DD.

 

well im in norfolk, but i like nova, does that count?

Hmmmm.... Interesting... I was just thinking, that w/the record my car has had since I bought it (much like barelyrunshalfthetime) that I should have done this YEARS ago- might could have met a person or two who knew Allison Morrison, the guy I bought it from, &/or the original owner (although more unlikley), but either way, might have been familiar w/the car itself. Seems as though 7yrs is way too long to expect any previous insight on a 951 from such a large city/area. I don't think either owner took good care of the car & I also don't think they were PCA guys OR track guys in the least, & only used it for DD type stuff, from '88 to '99. Turns out, the clutch went out at 63k miles & then again, right after I bought it, at 127k & the timing belt broke at ~70k- luckily, no damage, but still, makes me wonder. Anyway...

Im in NOVA too. Car has been here since June.

 

My 85.5 has been in NOVA it's entire life...purchased at Tyson's...I'm the third owner...226K and going strong; semi daily driver sharing the load with a 968 cabrio and Ford Explorer SportTrac for the messy stuff.
