Ok, more piston questions...
I still need a piston.
JE said they couldnt make one to match the other three I have, which makes sense, so I was wondering...
Do you think it would be possible to get the piston from a dealership? Could I get ahold of the stuttgart factory? LOL Im just hunting for anything here.
Lastly... If I did go with JE I would want to go big. Would I need a new computer, or head if I went to 2.8 or larger?
Thanks for any advice, and your patience with me.
I need a battle plan here

Sorry man... I never meant to not reply... I dont remember seeing any of your posts. Maybe you told me that you only had group 1 pistons?
Ill have to think about that 86 engine for $400 though...
And again I didnt mean to ignore you. Sorry

No company can make pistons that will work in the stock bores besides Mahle or KS. Unless you trust the swain PC9 coating to last a long time.

This is a very bad idea unless you want to spend a lot of money.

I think I have a TG 2 piston from an '84 944 that I do not need. It is noted by the lone 2 on the inside of the skirt correct? There are part numbers that read
100
-----
204 and just above that to the right is the lone 2.
It's in decent shape, no rings. Pm me an offer if interested. I can ship it first so you can check it out to make sure it is what you need.

You might be able to buy a new one. Give sunset porsche a call.
If you can't find a new one then you are really stuck with regards to your options. There are VERY few tolerance group 2 pistons out there, and unfortunately most of them are in running engines. Does that make it fortunately?....
