Back when I was a kid, I always wanted to be a hobo. You know - ride the rails, discover America, live that desperate, loner life - carry everything I own in a bandana attached to the end of a long stick. Man, I thought that would be the life. But I could never figure out how to attach that darn bandana to the end of the stick without it slipping down to the other end of the stick. I hated that. I would try again and again to get that thing properly secured, but everytime I lifted that stick over my shoulder, "whump" the bandana package would slide down and hit my shoulders. I guess the hobos have some kinda secret trick they've handed down from generation to generation that details how to attach a bandana package to the end of a long stick.
I guess I would have failed miserably as a hobo - I mean I couldn't even get the bandana package at the end of the stick thing right. I stopped dreaming of becoming a hobo and became a computer analyst instead. In retrospect, I should have stuck with learning how to secure that bandana to the stick....

Yeah, but if tifo would have quoted the Whitesnake song correctly, then my hobo story wouldn't make any sense at all....
In retrospect, my hobo story doesn't make much sense anyway I look at it now. Hmm - did someone spike my diet Pepsi?!?

reminds me of all that time i spent with the traveling circus....well not really a circus, more like a band of traveling freaks tied to a wagon. Anyway, brings back memories....

My "hobo" lyric change was on purpose, but thanks! 
I find it interesting that someone else here figured out it was WS. Most people on this BBS are too old or too young to get the reference.
I signed up for hobo lessons once, but then after the first class I figured out it was for the oboe and quit.
