My original one had lots of little tiny cracks or something in the rubber, so I used a new one. Yours might be in better shape.

Someone should look into doing a group buy for the Lindsey Racing mount

I agree with tifosiman. I have the Kokeln unit in my car, and yes, it does translate a lot of gear whine/noise into the hatch area, which acts like a HUGE sound enhancer like a sub-whoofer box. Sounds ilke a cement mixer back there - you can practically hear every click of the cogs on the tranny!

For me, it was a 'while you're there' upgrade - I was getting solid torsion bar housing mounts, so I figured I might as well get the solid tranny mount as well.

If I were contemplating a solid tranny mount, I would go for the solid motor mounts as well. Otherwise you will have one end of the drivetrain rigidly mounted with the other end relatively mobile.

what would you need to put that on an 84? it looks NOTHING like the mount for my transmission, but they say it fits all 944's...

well im still trying to figure out if i need a tranny mount or not, im definately getting a "bouncing" when going from on/off throttle.

What about taking the solid mount and putting in some rubber 1/16" rubber gasket material?

I asked a similar question on post #11 but no one has answered yet. How do you confirm if you need a mount?

I'm waiting for them to put these back on auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

A little less expensive than the Lindsey mounts...
