Default looking for a tow hook . . .

hey guys, is there anyone in the milwaukee area that has a tow hook that i could borrow by tomorrow (the 12th)? my clutch joined the dearly departed two days ago, and i need to get the '44 off the street and to my house in the falls.

so i've got a lead on a truck and trailer (rally team, go!), but when i checked my tool kit last night, the porsche-brand OEM tow hook was no where to be found. (my guess is it's probably hanging around some thug's neck while he dozes in an alchohol induced-stupor under the El in Chi-town.) anyway, if someone is willing to lend me theirs for a couple hours on friday night, i'd be very appreciative. like in the "free beer" / "free pizza" / "free stories" / "free wrench time" way.

thanks!

Why not just use the factory tie down points in the front to pull it up on the trailer?

You can probably just hook it around the lug for the tow eye and pull it with that. Just be careful when you get to the front of the trailer.

theedge - sounds reasonable . . . i'll dub it "Plan A".

thanks for the input guys! i think we'll do alright. one of the guys who's helping suggested we just PUSH it onto the trailer. like he's trying to EARN his beer or something.
