Default Vacume hose question

So i installed an A/C delete on the race car and I finished putting everything back together and I'm standing here with a hose in my hand... oops! ok, so where does it go... thats the hard part. Its an early car (84) and the hose attaches to the air box on one end, and i have NO idea where they other end goes...

The hose is not very long, maybe 10" and about 3/4-1" in diameter.... I feel really reall stupid for not knowing where this goes... or what it does

Any ideas?

Could it be the hose which "vents" the belts case/housing? There's a nipple it coming off the top of the belt housing which goes to the airbox.

My guess is either the idle valve or the air oil separator. Can you follow it to its other end?

The hose that attaches to one end of the airbox is the vent for the timing belt cover. It was deleted on later cars because of the possibilty to suck water up into the airbox. You can put it back on or just leave it off.
