Gotta love ebay. And not bothering to research these things beforehand...
Anyway, anybody know what harness bar this is? The seller said he had it mounted between the c-pillars.
Also, anybody have pics of the correct direction to install this? Do you have to pull out the interior panels or anything? I know I have to go find some 11mm x 1.25mm bolts, but I was trying to figure out how to put it in the car earlier and the only way it seemed to fit was to be right above the top of the rear seats, but that seems way to far back for a harness bar. I'm only going to be using it for a camera mount, so I'll just do that if I can't figure anything else out.
Bar has 4 of the harness mounts welded in, it seems to be pretty well welded together. Ignore the cat in the pics.
Thanks for any info.

Unless you want a lot of flack from tech inspectors, don't use that bar for harnesses. Do a search to find out why. As a camera mount it may do the job.

The Welt bar will bolt in two different ways, either facing forward from the C pillars (which blocks rear seat usability) and toward the rear with the bar itself running nearly across the top of the back seat. I was under the impression the rear facing install was right. IIRC, in that config the little hoops for the belts run across the top of the bar. Since you are just mounting a camera, and you probably don't use the back seat, I'd consider camera location to make the choice. Get out your vid cam and test the view. How much dash do you want in the view? You can always zoom in, but you can only widen out so far. For some reason, I think the further the camera is zoomed in, the more vibrations will be obvious on the finished product. Therefore, a camera moved forward with the lens wide would be more stable. I add a couple of bungee cords for stability. Sorry, no pics. I too started with a Welt and graduated to a Redline.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm playing cheap-*** so I bought a used bogen tripod head and I'm going to make some mount to hold it onto the bar. The bogen head I got is the same one used in a lot of those suction cup camera mounts, so I'm pretty sure its the same one in the I/O mounts as well.
Do you think that a hardware store to the extent of home depot or ace would have the bolts for mounting the bar, or are they to odd of a size?
