Tifo, I was told by a little bird you were running 16 x 10's Fuchs on the rear. Was I in error?
86 16" Turbo phones will fit on the early NA's. Spacers were on the 86 951's front IIRC, but minimal, like .25" or so. Others here know the real skinny.

Thanx for the help guys.... I'll go head and go with 18x8 and 18x9.... This question is off topic, but what is the support bar in the turbo bumper called. I wanted to go on ebay and try to find one. I intend on upgrading the front from N/A to a variation of Turbo.

I have 993 turbo twists on my car, nothing radical in the front, but theres 18x10.5 in the rear, with 275/35-18 tires. IMO the wheel looks too big for the car height wise, but looks pretty mean from the back. Only time its rubbed is with 4 adult males in the car, and cornering hard.

I am running a 1/4" spacer on mine on the front, but that is because the outboard bleeder valve on the 928S4 caliper strikes the inside of the Fuchs wheel without it. Regular 86 951 front calipers wouldn't have any issue. The 16x8" 951 early offset phonedials actually clear the S4 bleeder valve without the spacer on there.
