How big is your property to keep all those cars? Weren't you the one ticketed for "storing cars on the street" in the past?

Torsion bars aren't an engineering flaw. 944 owners, in general, are just not experienced/fear them. Not having the holes in the rocker panels, thats another story. My friend can change/reindex all 4 of his torsion bars on his 911 in just a few hrs.

Internal oil cooler is definitely crap though.

I like the 951's external oil cooler. Legoland and I once talked about using that puppy as a method for dry sumping a 944. Could be the end of the dreaded bearing failure. R&D would lotsa $$$$ me thinks.

As for torsion bars. I saw a 944 with body colored plugs on the rocker panel. Behind it was a cap covering the torsion bars that can be removed for easy re-indexing. Great idea if you ask me! I've seen it on some 944 Spec cars.

Serge, the rennlisters who have been to my house have seen how I pack 20 cars in my yard along with a forklift, a 16 ft container, and a 20 foot container and I bought this commercial storage zoned lot with a house grandfathered as residential specifically for my hobby and future gathering for 944 enthusiasts (Of course to keep the wife happy I had to make sure everything is in the back yard so the house looks exactly like a "normal" house from the front along with $100k+ worth of house renovation-especially the new kitchen and bathrooms). The remaining 10+ in the street includes a 25 ft minibus towing a 24 foot enclosed trailer (over 50 feet and longer than most semis with a 40 ft container)and a Bronco with 16 foot trailer with a 944 (just a tad under 40 ft), which will not fit in just anybody's driveway in S. Ca (and yes I do have a 100ft+ long driveway). Ever since I moved here, no more ticket problems. Unfortunately, real estate here cost multiples of what they cost in Sacramento but I am sure my next property will be able to house more cars.

Every manufacturer have their stupid moments and unlike Tifo, I just can't resist the temptation to post on this thread. Some people worship a particular manufacturer and I think that's just rediculous. Try working on a Ferrari or a 70s Rolls Royce and you will definitely thank your Toyota engineers. Try rebuilding a twin carburetor smog monsters like an 85 Honda prelude.

"We gave most the world their freedom from aforementioned Austrian. No need for thanks brits..."

Oh deary me..... worms......can....of.... can't let that little cliche stand uncorrected.

I think you will find that was the USSR. 27 million casualties. Oh, and Britain 700,000 and USA 600,00; all approx. figures but speaks volumes for who actually gave the world its freedom.

I am sure many of those who paid with their lives in WWII will roll over in the graves if they can see what's happening to our constitution, country and the "freedom" they fought for.
