hey, im buliding a 944 spec car out of an early 85 944. Im looking to buy some msds headers for a n/a 944. any one have a set? Im also looking for a roll cage, bolt in or weld in for the same car. and also looking for a set of fiberglass bumpers, lexan rear hatch, a/c delete bracket, 968 mo30 swaybars, cheap cookie cutter wheels, or anything else you can think of that I could use for a spec car.
Let me know what you got.
Thanks
-Ken

I've got a set of 15" phonedials that are very lightweight that I would be more than happy to part with (no use for them myself and no space to store them). Email/PM me if you're interested

Ahhhh. its a shame you didnt post this earlier, i just sold a fiberglass euro front bumper. Would have been easier to of brought it to NJ also! I used enough bubble wrap to package that damn thing up that i could have supported life on Mars with the air in the bubbles.
There is a great thread on the NASA forums about the usefullness of headers. You may consider reading it if you are not 100% sure you want to buy headers or not.

If you mean a NASA 944-spec car or PCA SP1 then you can't use fiberglass bumpers or a lexan hatch.
I've had a local late model builder build my cage, not the 944 but a couple other cars in the past. Make sure you go over the class rules with him before he starts.

Kurt is correct. Read the rules carefully so that you do not need to re-do anything. You should check out the NASA Forum mentioned as there is alot of useful information as well as a very knowledgable group. The guys in Az. have been at it for a few years now as well as California.
If you can swing it, a weld in cage is the way to go. You don't want to cut corners on safety equipment.
Also, I would recommend adjustable swaybars. The Weltmeisters work fine. You will find that as you change the car, run different tracks, weather conditions you will want to make adjustments to the sways.

thanks for all the responses, I work at a porsche shop, so I am going to weld in the cage myself, im just looking to see if anyone has anything they bought and want to get rid of, or a roll bar I can start with and weld in the front clip. Ill have to check the rules again to see if the fiberglass bumpers and lexan hatch are legal. also, Ive been looking at the weltmeister swaybars, I just have to find a set.
