Default steel control arm bushings?

Has anyone here used the weltmeister control arm bushings on a 924s or early 944 with steel front control arms? I need to replace the ones on my '87 924s. The Weltmeisters do not appear to be polyeurathane so I wonder about their improvement over stock rubber and also why the footnotes on all the suppliers pages read"not for track use". Any suggestions or alternatives from you guys would be greatly valued.

for street use and light track the Welt poly red bushings are fine. If you racing or tracking hard then you need to get the white delrin bushings made by racer's edge.

I have used stock, welt red, welt black and delrin. Only the delrin was strong enough for the track, but the others are fine for the street.

thanks for the input. I do some D.Es in this car and want to service the front suspension due to age ('87 with 58k miles). I also want to upgrade the sways to turbo/968 units but would like to know if I can retain the steel control arms and fit the turbo sway bar ends. The rear should'nt be a problem. I have boxster 16" "split-star" wheels that incorporate much more rubber on the road. As you could imagine, I want to integrate better bushing to complete the package. As for light track use I am in the black group and do throw the car around a bit. I have considered the delrin bushings but I still street the car daily. Ahh - the duality of Porsche ownership.
