Default What would you do?

So I'm selling my NA for a turbo and the NA has updated hella h4 headlights while the turbo has the original whatever they're called.

Also, the NA has a year old Blaupunkt pasadena headunit while the turbo has the original tape player that is non functional.

If you were in this situation would you do a swap?

What about a Jacobs ignition coil?

i would swap everythign thats better. you're not going to get a significant sale price increase of the NA with updated lights and stereo head unit

swap.
odds are that the next owner wont know the diff. between the hella and the stock.
the gains in the selling price will be marginal at best.

Take the sound system and replace it with a used cheapo.
Gotta have tunes if you want to sell it. Switch the lights.

Replace the Hellas for sure, especially if they are E-codes. The headunit is a push IMO. I have a Blaupunkt Honolulu in the 951 and I'm not impressed at all with the Blue Dot electronics so I'm biased. If money is tight do the HU swap. Then again if money is tight you are about to enter 951 Hell and it's about to get even tighter It was nice meeting you and dad last Sunday, sorry you couldn't make the run, it was a good one.

i agree with the verdict so far, swap it out. thats what i do with all the stuff in a vehicle im selling. on the jacobs coil, i dont know, i have their plug wires, cant say anything bad with them yet, other than the lengths of the wires are a bit long, interfered with a few things, makes me wonder about fitment/clearance with the coil as well. wow can i say run-on sentence?

I agree. Just make sure you don't advertise the NA with those parts to begin with. This includes interior pictures.

Swap the lights, but leave the stereo. Upgrade the turbo with a better unit like an Alpine

I told my brother to do the headlight swap with his NA and the S2 (no longer "MY" S2 and not really "HIS" S2) because I'm not giving him anything more for the Hellas.

I told him to take whatever he wants off his NA before I take it in partial trade for the S2.

I will store his NA for 15 months till the lease on my GTO is up, then it becomes my station car, while the 951 is my track toy.

Yes I will own two 944s. I think I am buying his '89 944NA with 77k for about $2,000 plus the cost of what he put into it in the last four months. He is giving me about what I have into the S2, so I got to drive it for two years (about 4k miles) for free.
