Default Door sill covers?

On the norcal run over the weekend I noticed that half the cars there had door sill covers of some kind. Seeing as how the sills are so long, it seems like a good idea. Just wondering if there were any good places to get them, if they're taped or bolted on, etc. Pics would be nice.

Also found this guy selling a couple of different designs of them on ebay:

Any good?

(searching for info didn't get any 944 results)

I have those ones from ebay and they're nice. The 944 decal is only black tape. It's installed with 3M double sided tape which works great. Too bad you didn't get to see mine at the meeting place in Calistoga.

9xauto.com has these...

I have these on my car and they really are beautiful, well worth the price.

These are held on with a very heavy duty 3M tape.

I had ones similar to those pictured above on my Turbo, except mine had a small Porsche crest inlaid (I think its just the crest from a key chain). They ran about $70 and came with preapplied 3M body tape to install them. Well worth the cost, they dress the car up nicely.

I have a set of the black Turbo ones, held on by a magnet. I'm not sure where they came from, they were a gift. They now live on the side of my toolbox. I noticed that when the door opened and shut, it was moving the sill plates a bit and scratching the car, particularly at the corners. I really like the look, but if it is going to weigh in, scratch the car, and not make it quicker I had to remove them. I suppose 'stuck on permanent' would work better.
