Default Metal armrest hinge?

Well, my plastic armrest hinge has once again given up the ghost.

Does anyone know of a metal replacement hinge? I saw an aftermarket piece a few years ago, but can't remember where.

You can get a small piano hinge. Its what i plan to do when the plastic finally breaks..which will probably be soon.

I took my tape holder armrest off for that smooth 924 CGT look. I like it!

That plastic hinge might as well be made of paper. I replaced it a couple of years ago, took pains to NEVER use it, and it still snapped off!

I know someone, somewhere, makes a metal replacement. The trick is finding it...

I have a piano hinge on mine - works fine although you have to be careful to use enough small screws into the plastic to hold it together and keep the screws from tearing out. I had a couple of the screws do this when someone (not me) banged the armrest door while it was open. A little epoxy fixed it.

I bought a couple of small hinges at Home Depot today and will attempt a DIY fix. Stay tuned...

I was also looking for the metal armrest hinge/cubby... Then I took it off and it's sitting in my room now, and I kind of like the look of no armrest.

Now I have nowhere to keep my stereo remote though.
