Default Az 944 Spec race this weekend

After taking the summer off 944 spec racing return to the desert.

This weekend at PIR there will be two days of 944 spec racing.

Come on out at watch take and look at the cars.

A DE will be going on this weekend too so you can drive too if you wish.

Hope to see some of you out there!

OK so I am interested in the DE. Is it safe to assume Fri is a better day than Sat (As in less people)? How much track time would I see?

NASA is only running on Sat & Sunday.

Typically there are 4 20 min sessions or about 100 track miles. DE1 includes a ground school inbetween run groups. First car is out at 8am. Last car is done by 4 or 5pm

Similar schedule for each day, but the school is Saturday only. Instructors are available on both days for free, but required in DE1.

Joe,

Are you instructing this weekend? Rennlister Smarlow is running his first NASA DE so he had to enroll in group 1 because it's his first run at PIR. He's done a ton of track events, mostly in Minnesota, and it would be nice to have a 951 guy point out the line and get him signed off to 3-4 quickly so he doesn't have to run both days in 1. He drives a silverish 89 951 and I told him to hook up with you if possible.

I will be instructing this weekend. I will look for him. If you contact him before he reads this tell him to drop by camp 944 spec early Sat am so we can get hooked up before instructors get assigned.
