Default Late Introduction (New Porsche Owner)

Sorry about this late introduction.

I am new to the Porsche World. I know everyone like to see pictures, so here is some pictures of my first. It is a 1984 Porsche 944 NA. It had 72,000 mile when I got it. I am the third owner. I have to tell everyone I have been very grateful to the information I have received so far from everyone on here.

Looks nice! I like that color/rim combo. What's that in between the rear bumper pads?

It was the dealer sticker... I have since removed it. Lucky it was just a vinyl type of sticker.

Hah! looks real clean. How many miles? What kind of radar detector is that?

I like asking questions!

Walmart special radar detector for right now. Also has Sirius radio below it. I have had it about 2 months now, had just over 72,000 mile when I got it. It is a DD.

I drive anywhere from 20 miles to 120 mile a day for work and the sirius works great. I have the antenna right in the middle of the dash and have not had any trouble with it.

You do know about the timing belt, right?

I have maint. record from 2nd owner. Timing belt changed at 63,000 miles. Yes I do know about timing belt. Previous owner also put on a new exhaust system from the the cat back. Had almost new tires on it when I got it, Fuzion HRI's.

If he says it's not cracked, then I'm officially jealous.

Actually dash has two cracked in it, but has a matching dash cap on it. Driver seat has a tear in it at the stitching, passenger same thing, but after 22 years I figure that is pretty good. There is also a tear in the back seat.

Sunroof works and seals just fine.

A/C actually works too, geat plus.

Retracked the AFM just recently, had to adjust the TPS, since then fuel mileage has gotten better. Next project is idle stabilizer valve, it needs cleaning. Records show the motor mounts just recently changed. The only oil leak I can find on the car is at the power steering pump fill, I think the o ring for the cap is missing.

Engine is in need of a good cleaning, but looks pretty good.

But this is my first Porsche, I love it so far. Previous mode of transportation was a 2001 ford ranger.
