Its so much of a pain in the butt pulling fuel lines out I probably opt with custom SS lines. Nice job guys. Gotta love the single life when you can pull that kind of project through.

I HATE cab 944's.......FUGLY as hell

That being said - looks like you both are doing a hell of a job - cool to see another turbo cab, precious few of them around. Keep up the good work!

Dan,

I don't know what year the engine is, but with my 86 951 engine, stock S2 fuel lines would not work. Good luck with a solution.

well i ended up cutting the flare off of the fuel lines, removing the nuts from them and flaring them. Then i pushed the 3/8" fuel injection hoses over the flares and clamped them real good. This seems to work really well- cant get the thing off by hand w/o the clamps!- so we ran with it. Then we ran into the problem of the car not starting. Seems the s2 ignition is routed differently - thanks to nine44 we got the coil wire patched and the car starts and runs. It has a hella high idle for some reason but it is running at least. Now we need to climb back under the dash and restore the connections for the tach and low oil lights. Then we should be good to go. Well , off to the alignment shop, thanks!

Rock,
I'm glad to see you getting back into such a sweet car after the unfortunate "dent" in your 951. Much respect to you and Dan for doing such an awesome project. Holy crap you guys work fast. This will be a very cool second lifetime for nickg's cab too.

Rock got the tach working and is under there wiring the S2 harness to the 951 harness. Man that kid is baller. I wish I were that baller. If I were as cool as Rock, id be the biggest pimp on the planet. Unfotuneatly im not as cool as Rock, but im pretty damn close. That would make Rock the coolest, and me and 2nd coolest person on the planet.
