Default Strut Rebuild

So I'm rebuilding my struts...well putting new springs on. I haven't decided if I'm replacing the strut inserts yet (money's tight right now...kid on the way and getting ready to buy a house).

At any rate...which bushings do I need to replace? I know the bump stops need to be replaced because they are both torn (I don't know how). And there's a foam ring around the strut tower that needs to be replaced too.

What else. Oh and these are pre '87 stuts.

matt,

depending on its condition, you may also want to replace the strut support bearing [944 343 071 00]that resides between the upper spring seat and the strut mount. i've also heard recommendations on replacing the lock nut on top of the strut assembly and the eccentric hardware that bolts the strut to the spindle, but, i'll defer to other subject matter experts on that one.
