Mu clutch pedal has been binding up at random times latly. It doesnt matter what gear im in, or how im driving the car, but sometimes when I go to push the clutch pedal in, it just dont go. I have to kind of pump my foot on the pedal till it goes. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks

Strange, I had the same problem when I first bought mine, along with some wierd noises and they just kinda magically went away. It was scary sitting in traffic with it stuck in first gear slowly creeping up on the guy infront of me

You don't need to use the clutch to shift.
Are you saying that the pedal doesn't move at all when you press it?
Look up in the clutch inspection hole and see if there is something blocking the movement of the shift fork.

I would guess the clutch release fork is fixin' to go on a long vacation!
My clutch pedel would return slowly every once an a while. After I replaced both slave and master the problem did not go away. I pulled the clutch and found the fork fractured and bent so it was not fully engaged with the TO bearing.

Aside from a mechanical issue, could it be catching on the floor mat? Occassionally, I go to parents house for a weekend and let my dad drive mine. Sometimes he complains of the clutch "sticking"...the mat creeps forward and the pedal gets caught on the mat.

Sounds like the slave to me. I started having the same problem, only the opposite. It would stick coming back up. So I'm trying to pull out of an intersection and you can't go anywhere as the pedal slowly comes up. Not very safe. It also started feeling like putting your foot in mud when pressing it down..
I changed the slave and it has been working beautifully. It could also be your clutch master or some mechanical problem with the pedal, but most likely the slave. Another remote possibility is the clutch release guide is worn and the bearing is hanging up on it.

Ive had the pedal drop to the floor in my old 944, and replacing both cylinders and it worked fine after that. Im just unsure if the pedal not going down would be the same problem. Im hoping its not a mechanical problem with the bearing/fork. That could get expensive.

My pedal would bind on return. Thought it was carpet at first. Started to happen
regularly. Was about to order new slave, but decided to bleed it first. I was
surprised at how much water came out before brake fluid. It has been fine
since, and that has been a couple years.
