Default new rims?

well... I think its time to get some new rims for the 944. I know i want 17" but im not shure how wide to get and what backspacing i need, also what is the lug pattern size? i wouldnt mind going a bit wider than stock. its mostly for looks, and the handling improvement will be nice too.

thanks for any help you may provide.

17"
5x130 bolt pattern
ET 23 front
ET 15 (common) on rear, but ET 23 is factory spec.

7.5 front , 9 rear widths.
Turbos/951's can run larger/wider

Early cars seem to not like the overly wide rims and rubber and the driver side width accomodation when pushing the limit of size is less than the passenger side, FYI. Damn Germans. XSBoost and a BFH helped solved my problem....

When I got myself my 17's i called wheel enhancements. They where a great help in picking a wheel that fits well and ehat spacers and stuff i needed (no affiliation just had a good experiance).
