Default Willing to trade?

I know this is going to be a long shot but I thought I would try anyways. I am hoping to find someone on here that have a 944 turbo, maybe a second one they don't use much. And trade me for my reliable 87' 944na with only 70k on the clock! I would be trading the car plus some cash.

Now I would just sell the car, but its the only car I have and with school starting up here in a couple of weeks I am really going to need it. So this is the only way I could think of that would allow me to upgrade tothe turbo model.

Oh and I can put up pics and vin# if anyone is intersted.

Commence laughter...

Hey, there's nothing funny about wanting a turbo. Well, I guess it's funny how everyone and their mother wants to upgrade from a 944 to a turbo, but anyways. Where are you located? You should update your user profile to show your location. If anyone does have a turbo for sale you'd be better off seeing each others' cars in person before swapping.

There are a lot of 944 NAs in the market right now, and few turbos, so don't expect this to be easy. If you don't mind, I'd suggest waiting a while for the 944 market to get a little less flooded. Check ebay and craigslist.

Good luck!

No one should be laughing as it's a resonable request. If I was in the market to keep a Porsche in the garage I might be interested myself. As it is I have other "needs" I want to go for.

Long as the end sum of the cash plus the value of the car equals the value of the 951 - there is nothing funny/bad about it. Now finding someone willing to part with their 951 and go to a 944 - that will be a challenge. Personally I love my little NA that could, but I too would like a turbo at some point........

Also you might want to give some more specifics about your own car. The 70k on it is great but what about color combo etc.

There is little chance your going to find someone with a 951 looking to get a 944 instead. It usually is a one way road, people buying 944s then wanting to upgrade to a 951.

Your best chance would be to sell your car, and look for the 951 at the same time. Once you have a solid offer on the 944 sell it, and get a 951 at the same time.

PM sent - might be willing to entertain this idea if your 944 is EXTREMELY nice. I'm getting awfully sick of wrenching on my turbo and was considering a Boxster but could probably be talked into a 944 if everything works, it's low mileage, well-maintained and damn near perfect. I have a stock '86 951 with a few issues.
