A/C Recharge car died (new info)
I realized my car had already been converted to r134a. I started the car, put the a/c on high and added one can of r134a. The car ran poorly for a few seconds and stalled. Now it does not start. I turn the key and hear one click. The chime dings when the door is open and key is in and all the lights work. What hte hell happened? Does any repair on these cars go smoothly?????
HELP!

Recharging the AC system couldn't possibly cause a no-start problem. It must be a coincidence -- the only thing I can think of is you had an existing problem with the battery and/or alternator, and putting the AC on high pushed the alternator over the edge.
Anyhow, have you tried jump starting? That would be the simplest place to begin.

Jumped car and it started right up. Noticed the gauge in the car read less then 12 volts where it used to read more. When I unhooked the jumper cables the gauge went down to zero. Does this mean battery not being charged and it is the alternator or can battery still be bad?

More like a cell died in the battery. -Otherwise you could charge the battery with a charger and have it run for a good while before draining again if it were a charging problem.
Put a trickle charger on it overnight and then MEASURE it's Voltge output in the morning after removing the trickle-charger, but BEFORE trying to start the car. -If it says less than 12V, dump the battery: it's run it's course.

turn off teh ac.. does the car work ? lol
go to advance auto parts or autozone and get your alternator checked out. AC will run the high speed fans , as well as teh compressor, adn take a large draw. maybe its not putting out enouhg.

Edit: When i jumped it the first time it did run for about 15 minutes then the car died all of a sudden.

If it went to zero because you disconnected the jumper cable -- the problem probably lies right there. I'd bet your battery is dead -- how old is it? It's a super easy fix.
