I guess the tribe says: sell "as is" with full disclosure.

BTW, this is how crazy cheap the market for high-mileage S2 is NorCal right now:

Dmitry's S2 -- This is the car closest to mine in description. He recently went down to asking only $6k for it.

High mileage S2 for $3k needs clutch bearing

Another high mileage S2 for $3k

S2 cab needing engine work for $6k

And then there's the 951 market. Two weeks ago, I picked up a project car for $3.5k thinking it's underpriced -- but I think there's another 951 that can be had for $3.5k .

There is so much competition for selling my S2 right now! Timing is everything -- I may have to wait a little while.

If you donate the car to "The Ian Fund" I will give you a reciept so you can write it off on your taxes....... Works out of all involved.

you need to get them out to the East Coast, Midwest/South or Canada...

Too many newer cars competing for the same money in California.

I don't think the East Coast market is any better for high-mileage S2's. Check out what went on eBay in that last two weeks:

High mileage S2 cab for $5k in Boston
Fair mileage S2 cab in Florida for $5k (minor issues)

Man those prices are low. Looks like the rougher cars are getting cheap. Half of me is mad that my car is not worth much the rest of me would kinda like to find an S2 to use as a test mule for mods, megasquirt, etc. Damn.

Hey Jason,

You're still looking for a replacement 944 aren't you? You want her back? I'd sell it back to you cheaply just to place her with a good home -- she's got new windshield, newer steering wheel, good seats, and some other cosmetic goodies.

One of us would have to make a roadtrip, though....

Man, this makes me want to get back into the 944 game again! How cheap are you planning on letting her go, Joe?

I think the current market valuation for a high-milage 1990 S2 coupe would be: Hopefully, $6k. Realistically, $5.5k. In desperation, $5k.

If I had the money I would buy that off of you fix it up a little bit take the motor out of it put it in my 924S and drop a LS1 in to the S2 Cab. Call me stupid. It would be a dream car.

Just a reminder -- 1) it's a coupe - not a cab and 2) it's located in California. Plus, I couldn't consider a trade because I'm looking to reduce the size of fleet. I actually have more p-cars than listed in my signature....
