Default I did it!!!

Hi all,

I've now become the proud owner of a 1994 968 Cabrio and at the moment i'm in the very lucky position of owing a 1994 968 Cabrio alongside my immaculate 1990 964 Cabrio (although the 964 is going to have to go......)

I've got a list of questions for which i will be calling upon your guidance over the course of the week, however, in the meantime, the main reason for the change is my 14month old son....

To keep the family happy, i've bought a 968 Cabrio for a few reasons:
firstly, it's more pratical than the 964 (i can get the pushchair, travel cot and 3 soft luggage bags in the boot of the 968, couldn't get any of that in the 964),
secondly, it's a much more relaxed drive than the 964, more stable and easier when at cruising speed,
and thirdly, it's a gorgeous looking car!!!

I need some help quite urgently though as i'm looking for a child seat to go in the back seats of the car...

Has anyone fitted child seats in the back?

I'm not going to get away with squashing my wife in the back seats forever, whilst my boy has pride of place up-front next to me!!!

Your help is greatly appreciated!!!!

I have fit a child seat in the back of my S2 coupe. Does the Cab have any place to mount the upper strap to control the top of the seat? The car seat I have used in the S2 is made by Graco and is fairly low profile. I have a Britax seat in my wife's car and there is no way to fit that thing in there and have a front seat passenger.

HTH

EDIT: Forgot to add, beautiful car! Congrats!

There was a thread on here a few months ago that had a link to a particular Britax ( can't remember the model off the top of my head)...I bought it and it fits perfectly in the S2....my son loves it! ( booster seat w/ back)

It's Black with marble grey leather interior, and yes, it's GORGEOUS!!!

Reference the baby seats, i'm having a three point seat belt fitted to ensure the best safety.

Which baby seats do you have fitted and do you have any pics if possible???

Many thanks!!!

No messing around! I went to look at a couple straight away, but they weren't very good, then i found the black one and it was a manual in good condition (well, i've got a few things to sort out), so, no point in waiting!!!! you know what it's like, with P-Cars.....

Congrats on the purchase - she looks like a sweetie!!!

Off and on the wifeee has voiced a desire for a convertible and has said that she likes the Boxter. I've shown her pics of the 968 cab from rennlist and she likes both. I might be a 2 car Porsche owner by next summer as well.

Enjoy - CG

Go for the 968 Cab instead of the Boxster, it's going to be much more of a classic and it's a lot more practical.... However, i know the girls can favour the looks of the newer models.....
